In its 13th year, the Laois International Golf Challenge has gone from strength to strength. This event gives you the opportunity to play at some of the most beautiful parkland courses in Ireland's Ryder Cup Region around the County of Laois.
The format consists of a fourball betterball competition (any combination). The Challenge appeals to anyone who wants to enjoy a relaxing golfing vacation in a sociable environment.
The challenge attracts golfers of all levels and from a number of different countries. A large number of golfers return year after year as they enjoy the relaxed atmosphere and the fact that everything is organised for them.
The Challenge is played over four excellent parkland courses in County Laois, between the Dublin to Limerick corridor with the final taking place at the Seve Ballesteros designed Heritage Golf & Spa Resort at Killenard.
A non-finalist competition will be held at Portarlington Golf Club. Entry must be registered wit us for this event by Friday 28th April 2017.
"Played May 2014, Excellent course with great holes and deceptively fast greens, the fairways were a bit wet and had to 'clean & place' but this was after heavy overnight rain. The clubhouse was very nice and the staff friendly, overall a very good experience and would definitely come back.” John B.
"It was a course I would like to go out and play and come back in time and time again. The condition of it was second to none. There is nowhere around the world that could be better than it. It was a lot of fun and a great golf course. It is going to hold some beautiful golf tournaments, hopefully the Irish Open and few others." Seve Ballesteros
