Located in the grounds of this Dublin hotel, The Christy O’Connor Jnr. Championship course is a first class test of golf in a wonderful parkland setting covering a distance of over 6,010 yards. This Par 69 course offers the combination of perfectly manicured fairways, superb putting surfaces and beautiful trees that provide the golfer with a wonderful and inspiring golf experience.
Water is used wonderfully on the opening nine holes and on the final four. You are testing from the off, with the 1st hole being index 1. The 3rd & 8th require good tee shots over water on these challenging Par 3’s.
O’Connor Jnr. put his name to not only the course, but to its fabulous finishing hole. The 18th, named ‘O’Connor’s Pass’, tests you right to the end where a straight drive is required to negotiate the line of trees that are presented in front of you on both sides from the tee. A water hazard in front of the green and on the left of the fairway requires the player to ensure that the correct club is used in order to score well at this fantastic finisher.
The course is located close to one of Ireland’s busiest roads, so getting to or from here is no problem. Provision also caters for those who like to arrive in a little more style by helicopter.
