Powerscourt Golf Club boasts two championship courses, the East and West, in one of the most beautiful parkland settings in Ireland. The golf courses sprawl across 45 acres of lush gardens on the Powerscourt estate, which dates back to the 13th century when it was an important site for Anglo-Normans coming to Ireland. Like its sister course, the East, the West Course provides stunning views of Sugarloaf Mountain.
The parkland layout is very hilly, even more so than the East, and the landscape is covered with towering trees that are hundreds of years old. The challenging elevation changes are further enhanced by strategically placed bunkering. Since opening in 2003, the course has gained a reputation as being one of the best parkland golf courses in Ireland.
