Greencastle Golf Club is a beautiful 18 hole links course which nestles in the idyllic surrounds of the Inishowen Peninsula. It is a members owned course on the banks of, and superb views across, Lough Foyle. It is based in the north of the Inishowen peninsula in County Donegal. The club was founded in 1892 as a nine hole course and during it’s centenary year opened a further nine, very challenging holes.
Greencastle nestles in the idyllic surroundings of the Inishowen Peninsula near the entrance to Lough Foyle. Throughout Ireland and indeed beyond, Greencastle is renowned for its hospitality and tranquillity.
The golf club is bordered on one side by the waters of Lough Foyle, with panoramic views across the mountains of Derry, while on the other, equally spectacular views up into the hills of Co. Donegal are to be enjoyed.
This challenging 18-hole course is worth a visit by any level of golfer, even if you just come for the views.
