The recorded history of Roe Park dates back to 575AD when St. Columba attended the Council of Drumceatt, together with most of the Bards and Chieftains of Ireland to discuss the important matters of their day. Today, directly beside the plateau on which that convention was held stands Roe Park Resort which dates from the 18th Century. The grounds surrounding the Hotel have been transformed into a beautiful Parkland Golf Course and provide a perfect background for a wonderful break away.
Roe Park Resort is surrounded by enchanting countryside just waiting to be explored – the riverside tranquillity of the Roe Valley Country Park, the fascinating Giant’s Causeway and the award winning beach at Benone are all a short distance from the Resort.
Year round golf is available at the Resort’s 18 hole 6324 yards, Par 70 golf course. Set within the original estate boundaries it features a variety of challenges for all levels of golfers. The course is complimented by a floodlit driving range, exceptional practice facilities, and a unique indoor golf academy with interactive video graphics and a highly respected PGA Professional to sort golf problems from beginners to experts.
