Ballina Golf Club offers one of the most scenic parkland courses in the West of Ireland. It sits in the heart of the unspoilt Moy Valley region, an area of great natural beauty and only minutes from Ballina town centre. The specifications of lush fairways and carefully manicured greens, guarded by water hazards and artful bunkers create and interesting, testing and fair golf course. The 5,778 yard 18 hole course is an ideal setting offering the golfer variety, challenge, interest and above all enjoyable golf.
During the mid 80’s, well known golf architect Eddie Hackett was appointed course designer to change the existing facility, and after a number of feasibility studies, Frank Higgins, who had built Galway Bay, was appointed course developer. A wet summer in 1994 delayed completion but in September 1995 the new 18 hole course was officially opened.
The 1974 clubhouse was by now well and truly dated and after a period of intense fundraising, a new modern facility was fast becoming a reality. A new modern clubhouse was completed in July 2005. A Pro Shop, restaurant & bar facilities are available in warm welcoming surroundings.
