Laytown & Bettystown golf links have been in existence for over 100 years.

Historical records account for the fact that both W.C Pickeman of Portmarnock fame and Cecil Barcroft, designer of courses such as Carlow, The Castle and Skerries had a hand in establishing Laytown & Bettystown golf course design.

In the intervening years subsequent professionals made some changes to the original layout while still maintaining its traditional links feel: today it is an excellent example of this type of Irish Golf Course.
