Royal Aberdeen Golf Club (Balgownie Links)
The Royal Aberdeen Golf Club was founded in 1815 and it became the club known today during 1901.
The course received its royal patronage after Edward VII visited member’s homes for a banquet on Balgownie Links before playing 9 holes there too!
The original design of this classic links golf course is attributed to Simpson brothers Archie and Robert from Carnoustie, while James Braid reworked it so that modern game techniques could be applied where needed.
