Cyprus is one of the largest Mediterranean islands and it is currently divided into two parts, the occupied Turkish Cypriot north and Greek Cypriot Republic of Cyprus in the south.

Despite the deep division, Cyprus has a long and rich heritage reaching back to the 7th millennium BC, fine examples of which can be seen in the castles, monasteries and ancient ruins.

Cyprus is, according to legend, the birthplace of Aphrodite the goddess of love and beauty. Cloudless skies, fantastic sandy beaches and warm, lapping Mediterranean Sea surrounds the island.

There are six golf courses in Cyprus and five are located in the south and one in the north. Elea (opened in 2010), Aphrodite Hills, Secret Valley, Tsada, now known as Minthis, was the first grass course to be built in Cyprus and finally Vikla complete the southern line up.
