Golf House Club (Elie Links)
Elie is one of the oldest golf clubs in Scotland and lies just 12 miles from St Andrews famous championship course. It is renowned for its classic links terrain and fantastic views.
An unusually placed periscope that was once used on a submarine now towers almost 10 meters above the first tee Starter’s Hut at Elie.
In 1966, this gift from member Gavin Reekie allowed golfers to safely play away after ensuring those in front were out of sight. A visit to Elie to see this in action is worth it alone.
